One day before a practice session George was fooling around with the main riff on his Fender Strat. When Dave came in he really liked it; so, they decided to write a song with it. They must have been in a mood because it is all about a jilted lover who then kills his ex, goes to prison, and gets the electric chair. Yeah, no ounce of truth to either of their lives, but it's a fun song about what could happen, I guess.
lyrics
I did my best I passed the test
I fought for every dime
But now we’re apart you broke my heart
And I’ve got nothing but time
She walked away She walked away She walked away
